This tutorial is valid for 0.2 and lower IconXT's version
The file you must edit is icones.exe.( In release 0.3 it will be icones.dll)
So to make your own skin you need two (free) software :
- Resource Hacker <a href='http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/' target='_blank'>here</a> and IconDevelopper (from Stardock the free version is more than sufficient) <a href='http://www.stardock.com/products/iconde ... loads.asp/' target='_blank'>here</a>
Use IconDeveloper to make, extract or even create your icons.
Use Resource hacker to build icones.exe
For WM2003:
Step 1 Create your icon from a picture or extract from a dll,exe or open .ico
Step 2 Choose the following to make your skin fully compatible with IconXT. The .ico files should contain, 64*64 32*32,16*16 windows xp icons only.
Then save .ico file.
Repeat the operation to have all icons of the suite.
For PPC2002 Just the step 2 changes : Choose the following to make your skin fully compatible with IconXT. The .ico files should contain 32*32 and 16*16 icons in 256 colors format.
For the moment those icons are supported : (it will change in future versions too)

Then save the theme: nameoftheme.exe and put it in the folder IconXT English. To use the skin you've made rename it in icones.exe (in my roadmap the fully skin support will be in 0.4 version.)
The attached file can explain maybe better.
